The ReliefBand® uses accurately programmed pulses with highly specific intensity, frequency and waveform to stimulate the median nerve located on the underside of the wrist. Stimulation uses the body's natural neural pathways to block waves of nausea produced by a discrepancy in your balance-sensing system, i.e. one part of your sensing system like your inner ear senses motion and the other parts such as your eyes and sensory nerves do not sense motion.
Safety Information: Pacemaker users - Use this device only as directed on the wrist to
prevent possible interference with your pacemaker. Avoid placing the
electrodes directly on your chest or near the pacemaker. The ReliefBand® should be kept out of reach of young children.
Directions for ReliefBand™ Use:
Find the starting area on the wrist.
Using either wrist, the correct area is in between the two tendons on
the underside of the wrist - two finger widths from first crease in
wrist. Use ONLY on your wrist.
Clean the area first . Apply a small drop of gel and spread in a circle about the size of a large coin with an even sheen.
Place the device over the gelled area and attach it to the wrist.
Fasten device snugly.
Press the power symbol on center of device to turn
on. Starting at power level 1, increase stimulation until you feel
tingling in your palm at a comfortable level. These intermittent signals
create a “tingling” sensation in the palm and middle fingers,
indicating the device is working and stimulating the appropriate median
Super sensitive persons may need to begin at a lower stimulation level
for five minutes or so until their brains get accustomed to the
sensation. Note: Some with severe reactions to motion use two units, one
on each wrist.
