Pet-2-Ring dog door bell. Sturdy plastic platform design dog doorbell or cat door bell with platform 7 inches long, 6 inches wide and 3 inches deep . Weatherproof base. Separate transmitter from receiver if desired. Can wall mount (hardware included). Sensitive touch: pet chime rings. Dogs and cats quickly learn someone will open the door. Requires two C batteries, not included. Made in USA . Note: This is a close-out: included battery not guaranteed.
Pet-2-Ring is also used by service dogs to alert diabetic adults or children when blood sugar changes. Dog noses are so sensitive that dogs can be trained to bark or press a Pet-2-Ring before a diabetic crisis occurs. Most people prefer the door bell chime to a barking dog!
Common Questions and Answers:
Q. Why does the Pet-2-Ring sometimes ring when my pet is not pressing on the platform? A. Check for wet snow or other foreign objects on the platform. We recommend that you place the unit in a sheltered area. Bring the unit inside in severe weather.
Q. Will other animals, such as rabbits, squirrels etc. ring the Pet-2-Ring? A. Not likely unless you left food in the training dish behind the unit (if you are still in the training mode). We advise to clean the dish after each training session.
Q. I see only one base receiver was in the retail box, If I use the pet doorbell outside for my pet to ring to come in, what is the best receiver placement so both my pet and I hear the chime? A. Place the receiver inside and close to the Pet-2-Ring location (at the door.) The receiver is small: place on window sill, shelf, floor, etc.
Q. What maintenance is required by the Pet-2-Ring? A. None except for keeping it clean, testing occasionally for the chime. Batteries typically last about one year before replacement is required. There are no moving parts and nothing that will rust.
Q. How long will it take most pet owners to train their cat or dog? A. There is no exact answer. Dogs train easier than cats. Follow the training instructions. If your animal is smart, 2 to 3 sessions are probably sufficient.
Q. Can a 70 lb. German Sheppard use the Pet-2-Ring? A. Yes, the Pet-2-Ring can be used for medium and larger dogs. We do advise use of a rug under the unit for dogs over 100 lbs. Make sure the unit is mounted firmly with no movement.
Q. Is the Pet-2-Ring weatherproof, i.e. can it handle rain and moisture. A. Yes. Also, the Push Lever acts as a cover to protect the transmitter (button) from the elements.
Q. I purchased a Pet-2-Ring for my dog to go outside. It is great, but sometimes, I forget he is outside. Do I need another complete unit for outside so he can signal he wants in? A. Yes. The Pet-2-Ring comes as a complete package. The additional base receiver can be used in another area of your house. Since the range from transmitter to receiver is 100 ft, you'll probably always hear the chime unless your home is huge. Both will chime simultaneously.
