Microtechnologies' family of dial-out temperature monitors include telephone callout
alarms for power failure, temperature alerts, remote temperature control, and remote
input control. All are temperature monitors and power monitors. Homeguard and TemperatureGuard
monitors can function as home temperature monitors, home or business alarms, or
computer room alarms.
NOTE REQUIREMENTS:
- Operational Telephone Connection: Requires activated hard wired or cell phone.
To Connect with a Cell Phone: Visit your cell phone service provider. Request
components to enable your specific cell phone to connect to a telephone handset.
(These units connect via standard telephone connection wires.)
- AC Power Source. Units operate from 120VAC.
- Backup Battery (Standard) is 4 Hours. 20 Hour and 30 Hour Batteries Available.
- No PC Interface is Needed. Electronics are Self-Contained in Each Unit.
Simple, easy to install, these home temperature monitors or business alarm
systems protect second homes, greenhouses, kennels, RV's, computer rooms, freezers,
etc. Timely interventions can avoid serious damage or losses due to power outages,
heating or cooling system failures, water leaks, and security breaches. Functions
as a home alarm without needing an alarm monitoring service.

All Home Alarm Temperature Monitors Including the Temperature Guards (Models 1, 2,
3, 3HT) Share These Features:
- Easy installation: Plug in phone and power. Turn on.
NOTE: Requires a working telephone connection. NO PC interface needed to install
or run units. Electronics are self-contained within each unit.
- Easy Programming: Use phone, follow spoken instructions, record personal
10 second identification message after choosing PIN, program pager (excluding HomeGuard)
or phone numbers.
- NOTE: Option 5 (on all models except HomeGuard) allows programming of a local
ID #. The units (except HomeGuard) will punch in the ID# at the pager prompt. Each
unit will "tag" the temperature, power status, and, if applicable, the humidity
level. Program units to give room numbers, section of building, etc.
- Uses existing phone line: Shares phone line with answering machine.
- Dial-in Access: for temperature and power any time.
- Cell phone interface: Cell phone must interface with an analog adapter (same
as interfaces with fax machine or computer). Figure on $700 plus. A higher wattage
cell phone (like the Motorola Carry/Mobile 4500) provides increased range in weak
cell areas.
- Dial-out home alarm alerts:: if power outage is greater than five minutes.
- Dial-out home alarm alerts: if temperature drops below 45°F (Home Guard)
or outside of set limits (Temperature Guard, Plus, and HT units).
- Dial-in alert shut-off: Enter personal PIN to stop continuous alerts.
- Repeated Alerts: Alarm system units dial out every 20 minutes until battery
dies or unit is shut off with personal PIN.
- Power Alert: Stops calling out when power comes back on.
- 4 hour rechargeable battery:Charges constantly while power is on.
- Included: Plug-in wall transformer, telephone line splitter, and telephone
extension cable.

After-Sale Software Modifications for Home Temperature Monitors and Temperature Guards
Available From Technical Support (No Charge, See Instruction Manual):
- DTA (Disable Temperature Annunciation) Mod: Enter PIN number before Temperature
is announced.
- Power Outage Call-Out Waiting Time Mod: Set time is 5 minutes. Modify to range from
zero (instantaneous) to 600 minutes (or never).
- Time between Alert Call-out Mod: Set time is every 20 minutes. Choose time you want,
not zero or over 120 minutes. (If your answering machine is full or answering machine
messages are erased, this keeps units sounding alerts as units cannot know that
the answering machine is getting the message.)
- Celsius Mod: Temperature reading changed to C from F. Note: Unit announces only
the degrees, not whether C or F.

The Temperature Guard temperature monitor and power monitor lets you set acceptable temperature ranges for summer and winter protection
of home or business and its contents. Remotely monitor when you wish.
- Dial-out power alerts: Power loss (greater than five minutes: Stops calling when
power comes on.
- Dial-out temperature alerts: Temperatures above or below limits you set. Protection
against airconditioning or furnace failure or temperature run-away (too high or
too low).
- Thermometer measures temperatures within a range of 32°F to 125°F. accuracy:±2°
- Programmable limits are 35°F to 125°. Note: Limit is 3°F above freezing
to avoid damage due to freezing temperatures.

Install Temperature Guard With Humidity Sensing when humidity and temperature control
are vital. Florida second homes, computer rooms and green houses are candidates
for guarding by a Temperature Guard VM-500-3HT. This unit functions as a remote
temperature monitor, power monitor, and humidity monitor.
