The Transonic Electronic Mole & Gopher Chaser is a three-in-one assault on burrowing pests! The 6 inch diameter solar mole stake head has a 3 1/8 by 2 inch solar panel. Features include including flashes, buzzes, and vibrations. The Transonic Gopher and Mole Chaser covers up to a 7800 square foot area or about 1/6 of an acre! For larger areas or stony or clay soils, use two or more units for best results.
The solar mole chaser and gopher chaser emits bursts of sound and vibration every 20 seconds and light flashes every 5 seconds. The flashes frighten and disorient sighted pests above ground; the sound waves and vibrations penetrate the burrows and surrounding soil to irritate the sensitive hearing of the moles and gophers. Cost efficient, time saving and environmentally safe .
Use instructions:
At night or very early in the morning, soften soil in a flower or landscape bed that gets sunlight all or the majority of the day. If you plan to insert into your lawn, make sure you "flag" the location. This is not a mow-over unit! If necessary soak soil with water. Do NOT hammer this into the ground.
Connect the stake to the solar paneled top using the electric
connection inside the top and the stake. Connect the small wired white
plug protruding from the aluminum stake into the white receptacle in the
round head. This will turn the unit ON. Remove the set screw from the
top of the aluminum stake. Gently push the stake into the base of the
round head, lining it up with the screw hole in the ‘neck’ of the head.
When the screw holes are aligned, the stake is in the correct position.
Fasten it in place with the screw. Note: the rechargeable batteries are sealed inside the unit head and should not be exposed.
Insert the stake and repack soil around the stake so that the head is fully above ground.
Expect little or no vibration or light until the solar panel is fully charged, typically in 24 hours of direct sunlight. Once charged the unit should operate for 5 to 6 days without sunlight.
You may notice more activity for the first few days to a week after the mole stakes are inserted. This is normal.
