H ow Difficult Is it to Make Your Own Yogurt? Not at all! Begin with 4 cups of milk that does not require boiling (pasteurized, reconstituted powdered milk, Ultra High Pasteurized or sterilized milk). Bring to near boiling (except for the UHP). Cool to room temperature and add 2 tablespoons of natural yogurt. Pour into sterilized jars, turn on the machine and your yogurt is ready in 8 to 10 hours. Add fruit or flavorings and enjoy!
