The ultrafine Doulton ceramic cartridges used in the CWR gravity feed water filter units remove 99.99% of parasites and cysts. Bacteria, bad taste, odor, sediment, dirt, chlorine, chemicals, & turbidity are also significantly reduced. The ceramic filter is cleanable, to extend the life of the filter. Ceramic filters last for approximately 600 gallons between filter changes. Silver baked into ceramic inhibits the growth of bacteria.
GS2 (not included) takes two ceramic cartridges. Using 2 cartridges results in up to 16 gallons of pure water/24 hrs.
GS4 (not included) takes four ceramic cartridges.Using 4 cartridges results in up to 32 gallons of pure water/24 hrs.
