Squirrel Evictor MB10K strobe light makes attics or crawl spaces unfriendly homes for rodents and many small animal pests. The high intensity light bothers the animals' sensitive eyes and their living cycles. The Evictor gives environmentally friendly, safe and harmless pest control. No chemicals, no noise and no odor. Homeowners with up to 35 years of pest animal problems found relief within days.

Continuous operation has the best results. Seal enter/exit holes a month or so after installation. The strobe's disruptive effect may cause a temporary increase in animal activity. Exposure to the rodent unfriendly Squirrel Evictor Strobe light trains squirrels, roof rats and raccoons to stay away.

Proper Squirrel Evictor operation requires a dark, uncluttered space where the Evictor is the only light source. Alternate light sources interfere with effectiveness.

More information about the Evictor Strobe Lights:
  1. How high do I hang the Evictor Strobe Lights? Answer: Install 2 to 3 feet off the attic floor so that the strobe flashes in all corners and under the beams, especially where a squirrel/rodent has made a hole.  Keep the attic dark: keep other lights off.
  2. How many units do I need to be effective?  Answer: The MB10K covers a 30 ft.x 30 ft. area. (900 square ft.). The MB100K covers a 40 ft.x 40 ft. area (1600 square ft.) Flashing lights should overlap and shine in all corners, an "umbrella effect".  Remove obstructions that prevent this effect or add additional lights.
  3. How long do I keep the strobe units on? Answer: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  The average cost is only about $ 9.00 per year in electricity. Compared to the damage you will prevent or the cost of repeated trips by a pest control professional, the electric cost is pennies.
  4. What if there is no electric outlet in the attic? Answer: The best choice is to have an electrician install an outlet/outlets in the attic, preferably with a switch on the wall below the attic access. (The switch allows you to turn off the electricity if you need access to the attic.) You can also use a heavy duty outdoor approved extension cord run through the attic access door and plugged into a computer type terminal strip. Remember there would be some air loss with an extension cord and the possibility that the cord could be chewed through by a rodent that could also squeeze through the attic opening.
  5. How long does it take for complete rodent eviction? Answer: Time for eviction depends on the animal.  Squirrels and roof rats generally leave in an average of 24 to 48 hours.  Raccoons can take as long as a week or two.
  6. Does it work the same as a normal disco strobe light? What’s the difference?     A disco strobe light actually pulses faster than the MB100K but it only has a fraction of the candlepower.  The MB100K is a 1 million candlepower high intensity strobe light.  It is the intensity of the strobe lights that make our products so effective on any rodent.
  7. Does the product definitely work? What is the success rate?
The Evictor Strobe Lights are 100% successful at permanently evicting squirrels, roof rats, norway rats, and raccoons, and just about any other rodent.
  8. How many hours should the MB10K and MB100k be left on for in a row?
The MB10K and MB100K High-Intensity Strobe Lights are intended to be left on 24 hours a day, 7 Days a week , 365 days a year.
  9. How many strobe lights do I need?    You need to purchase enough strobe lights to cover the desired area and not leave any dark spaces. A squirrel or other rodent may continue to live in your attic if it can shield itself from the light.
  10. How long does each Strobe Tube/Bulb last?    The Strobe Tubes/Bulbs are guaranteed to last for one year.
  11. Is this going to make my electricity provider rich or does the strobe light consume less than one would expect?    Our products are very energy efficient and portable. The MB10K Unit is 175,000 Candlepower and covers an area of 900 sq ft. yet discharges no heat.  Energy usage for the MB10K unit is only 105.12 kilowatt hours per year. Running continuously, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for a full year, the estimated energy cost is only $9.04.*   *Kilowatt-hours per year are a measurement of energy use. Your utility company uses it to compute your bill. $9.04 is based on continuous use for one year and the 2005 National Government average cost of $.086 per kilowatt hour.
  12. My attic has mounds of pink insulation covering the attic floor. Will the strobe lights be effective if a rodent can tunnel into the insulation?
Squirrels will tunnel into the insulation. In some instances they have built a kind of insulation wall to hide from the light. However, squirrels prefer to live on top of the insulation.   The nests are easy to find because the insulation is depressed into a bowl shape. Also, when you place the strobe lights in the attic, you make the area an unsuitable place for squirrels to raise their young.
  13. My problem is not in my attic. The rodent has entered my home through the sub-roof between my second floor bathroom and my first floor kitchen.  Can a strobe light be placed in this area?
Yes!  The Evictor Strobe Lights can be placed in a floor or ceiling.
  14. How does the strobe light affect squirrels?   The strobe lights do not scare squirrels at all but annoys their eyes forcing them to leave any darkened spaces.
  15. Does it Work for Mice? The Evictor Strobe Lights have not been tested thoroughly to work on mice, in a limited number of instances the strobe light has been successful.  If you have tried the Evictor ™ High Intensity Strobe Light on another rodent that is not mentioned on this site please contact Evictor Products and tell us about it.
