Solid Wood Gate Mounting Spindle or Oversized Clamp
for Cardinal Pet Gates and Baby Gates Install Cardinal safety gates with these solid wood clamps. No one likes to put screw holes in their fine woodwork. In many cases this can be avoided by using our clamps. These solid wood spindle, or oversized, clamps are designed to be used around a set of very small small spindles or large square posts up to 6 3/8 inches in size. One mounting kit includes: One 8 inch long wood clamp that is .75 inches thick and 1.5 inches wide One 8 inch long wood clamp that is .5 inches thick and 1.5 inches wide. One 8 inch long wood shim that is .25 inches thick and 1.5 inches wide. Two bolts each 2.5 inches long Two washers
The purpose of the shim is to use, if required, to compensate for post thickness so the hinge bracket for the gate can be perfectly vertical. For spindle posts, it will probably be used on the upper or round part of the spindle. |
