The wool, from the Merino sheep in Australia and New Zealand, is sliver-knit to a polyester backing and processed to withstand gentle machine washing. Each pad looks and feels like a sheepskin clipped to a one inch length. Lambswool is a naturally disinfecting fiber so heat is not needed for disinfection. Lambswool resists the development of bacteria and dust mites.
