Connect the Ultra Low Temperature Sensor with Calibration Certification (IMS-4814-NIST).to a Sensaphone Internet Monitoring System such as the IMS-4000, IMS-1000, etc. for accurate temperature monitoring in refrigerators or freezers. This unit has the NIST certification for accuracy, i.e. National Institute of Standards & Technology.
Through the attached RJ-45 patch cable, the electrical connection between the sensor and IMS unit is made. Use the included clamp to secure the sensor temperature probe inside the equipment. Tie wraps may also be used to hang the device. Note: This is the sensor only. Use with IMS Sensaphone Remote Monitors IMS-4000, IMS-4000 Node, and IMS-1000. Purchase monitors separately: the remote monitors are not included. These are internet monitoring systems, i.e IMS.
The Ultra Low Temperature Sensor includes an attached 7' cable with an RJ-45 plug on the end and a weatherproof probe with 12' of cable. If the sensor installation is close to the IMS unit, it can be directly plugged into an IMS environmental input. If the cable is too short, the RJ-45 adapter (included in the package) and a longer patch cable (not included) can be used to extend the length. In instances where the sensor is in another room or another floor, existing network wiring infrastructure can be utilized.
Take note that the IMS-4814 Ultra Low Temperature Sensor cannot be installed in the black plastic enclosure inside of a refrigerator or freezer. It is available with an optional NIST temperature certification.
