Use the black Safe-T-Alert 30-442-BLK gas alarm that recess mounts into your RV wall to replace any CCI Controls propane alarm in the 7770 series, including the 7770.231 brown model and the 7773.081,231,151 and 251 units.*(See below for installation notes.) This essential RV part , the Safe-T-Alert propane alarm , needs testing several times a month when you test your carbon monoxide monitor. Propane safety requires both propane and carbon monoxide alarms. Cannot replace CCI-7719 gas alarm because that unit requires a Safe-T-Alert unit with a gas valve. Note: All -P units will automatically shut down 5 years after being
attached to a power source. This is a new RV regulation. There is a
warning beep that begins days before the unit ceases to operate.
Note: Rebate from Safe-T-Alert. Alarm must be purchased
between March 1, 2013 and September 30, 2013. Rebate must be postmarked
by October 31, 2013. Rebate is limited to one LP Gas Alarm and/or one
Carbon Monoxide Alarm OR one Dual LP / CO alarm per end user.

Listed to UL 1484 for Recreational Vehicles and Unconditioned Areas. Meets RV standard ANSI A119.2 as required by the RVIA.
Test/Reset Button: Mute alarm during ventilation. Tests all detector functions with one touch. No dangerous gas required.
Alarm is fully operational during mute cycle and will realarm if hazardous conditions recur.

Important Note for CCI Replacements: This unit can be installed both vertically and horizontally. Use butt connectors to replace spade connectors. *Some CCI units installed in Fleetwood and Winnebago RV's have two power leads (7773.081, 773.231, 773.151 and 773.251. Safe-T-Alert units have only one power lead. Connect the red power lead to the coach power supply and cap or remove the other power lead.

Warranty: The Date Stamped on each Detector is the Date of Manufacture. Each unit has a 10 year shelf life. The Limited Warranty is 1 year and begins from the date of resale. Units have a 5 year life. Replace units after 5 years. Contact MTI directly for warranty related questions.
ANSI A119.2 - Fire & Life Safety 3-4.8 LP Gas Detectors "An LP gas detector must be installed in any RV that contains an LP gas appliance and an electrical system. The LP gas detector must be listed as suitable for use in recreational vehicles under the requirements of UL 1484 Residential Gas Detectors, and be installed according to the terms of its listing. RVIA Effective Date 9/96, Revised 9/99."
