The air filter system size is 16 x 25 x 1 inch. Use Safe Home system pleated filters with electrostatic charge instead of fiberglass furnace filters, washable metal filters or pleated paper furnace filters. Home or business air will be cleaner: you'll be trapping those odors, allergens and chemicals in these two air filters before the air hits your furnace filter. Easily used: installation consists of inserting the high density carbon filter into the cold air return behind the removable or hinged return air grille filter unit. Then insert the white air filter for pollen, dust, etc. into the cold air grille filter slot.

MERV 7 pre-filter which is an industry standard rating that means the filter removes 50% to 70% of particles down to 3 microns in size. With use, the filter effectiveness at removal increases to more than 98%. MERV ratings are not related to the ability to remove chemicals for gases. That is why the carbon filter makes the Safe Home System superior to a single filter.

You now have a two step filter process. The white pre-filter captures dust, pollen and other particles. The air then filters through the second carbon filter that captures gases and odors. This two step system reduces pollution significantly in your home.

For the best pollution control, change the carbon air purifier filter at least once per year. The white allergen filter needs replacement at least every three months. More polluted environments may require more frequent changes of both filters.
