Two inch diameter plastic seal on bottom of owl can be removed to mount the owl on a pole or to fill the owl with sand or gravel to add weight.

For Best Results:

Position Owl vertically for head to move properly.
Place scarecrow owl in place before fruit ripens and feeding habits develop if this in in a garden.
Position owl prominently in your garden to birds can see it.
For added effectiveness, move owl from place to place in your garden every few days.
Use only when bird pests are being destructive, remove at other times.

Installation Options:

Mount scare owl on top of a tall pole and drive pole firmly into the ground. Make sure the owl is vertical so the head moves easily.
Move owl every few days.
Secure owl by tying in place or weight heavily. You can fill with sand or gavel for more stability.

Note: If head should become detached, carefully center the head over the body of the owl and push downward to snap into place
