Answer: Install 2 to 3 feet off the attic floor so that the strobe flashes in all corners and under the beams, especially where a squirrel/rodent has made a hole. Keep the attic dark: keep other lights off. How many units do I need to be effective? Answer: The MB10K covers a 30 ft.x 30 ft. area. (900 square ft.). The MB100K covers a 40 ft.x 40 ft. area (1600 square ft.) Flashing lights should overlap and shine in all corners, an "umbrella effect". Remove obstructions that prevent this effect or add additional lights. How long do I keep the strobe units on? Answer: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. What if there is no electric outlet in the attic?
