Once a blood pressure reading is completed, the bp pressure rating indicator displays one of four categories based on Joint National Committee (JNC 7) blood pressure guidelines. The four categories are Normal (green), Prehypertensive (yellow) and Stage 1 or 2 Hypertensive (Red).
