Tips for use:
Longevity: "BANDING" means to treat a small strip (10-20 feet wide) around the perimeter of a mole-free area.
Application in cold weather: Warm ready-to-use Scoot® Mole in basin of hot water to thin the oil.
Amount of water: Using water with application simulates a rain-storm causing the mole's food to surface and be coated with oil. Recommended amount of water depends on the thatch layer thickness in any given area.
Proper application of Scoot Mole is 25 to 35 minutes. The applicator is designed to simulate a rain storm. The mole's food supply must be adequately saturated. Since worms breathe through their skin, the heavy application of water forces them to the surface for air. As they move up through soil, castor oil coats them.
Once the application is complete, nature takes its course. Moles eat their body weight every three days or they dehydrate and die. After a few unpleasant meals, the mole pests begin looking for a fresh food supply. In a few days to two weeks, they are gone. Follow-up applications (at about four month intervals) discourage moles from returning.
