Water Valve Shut Off for 1.25 Inch Pipes Responds to Sensor and Shuts Off Water

Prevent water damage from faulty water heaters or other water pipes that are 1.25 inches in diameter with the Floodstop water system. The FloodStop 1 1/4 NPT Water Alarm and Automatic Water Valve offers inexpensive water leak protection for water heaters and all 1.25 Inch water pipes. When water touches the water sensor, the ball valve closes and a beeping alarm sounds.

This full-port motorized brass ball valve is water sensor activated. This plumbing device reduces risk of water damage from cracked water pipes or broken water pipes. This failure activated floor system control device helps protect from leaking water heaters, toilets and all water using applicants.

FloodStop (FS 1 1/4-NPT) automatically shuts off water intake lines for water heaters or other protected water appliances and sounds an internal alarm. Toilets, sinks, dishwashers and other household water appliances remain operational. Dual powered by an AC adapter/transformer and batteries. Output contacts can connect Flood Stop controller with security alarm, home automation or auto-dialer home monitors so homeowner or business can receive alert that a water leak occurred. Installs easily in fifteen minutes by homeowner, handyman or plumber.

To install, connect valve to the water heater cold water supply line. Mount the control unit. Place sensor(s) on floor. Plug power supply into an unswitched outlet. Note: Electricity is used only when the sensor detects water.

NOTE: Do not place sensor directly on metal pan or damp floor. If alarm sounds without a water leak, place paper towel or cloth under sensor to "insulate" against dampness of floor or metal of pan. When paper or cloth gets wet, the sensor activates the shut-off and sounds the alarm.

FloodStop (FS 1 1/4-NPT) Operation:

FloodStop valve is installed between the water heater and its manual shutoff valve.
Water/leak sensor is placed at the base of the water heater.
Valve stays open until water loss is detected.
Water on sensor closes FloodStop valve and sounds alarm.
Valve stays closed until problem is attended to and system is reset.

Motorized full-port stainless steel ball valve (1 1/4 inch NPT pipe threaded) in solid brass valve body lined with Teflon
Control unit with battery backup (4 C batteries, not included).
