The water leak detection system shuts off water only to the protected appliance. The unit responds to a moisture sensor by shutting off the water supply and sounding a water alarm: other household fixtures and appliances remain operational. Power is supplied by an AC adaptor/transformer or batteries. The output contacts allow the controller to connect with alarm, home automation or auto-dialer systems if desired.
