Use this Temperature Controlled Outlet to maximize your energy savings while having the narrowest On/Off window available. Other thermally-controlled outlets may turn on at 35 degrees F but these thermal outlets do not actually turn off until 50 degrees F or more. Those units may turn on in November and not turn off until April! But the TCO35 is microprocessor controlled with temperature sensors accurate to within 0.1 degrees F. It turns on at 35 degrees F and off at 37 degrees F!
One customer plans to use this TC035 in the crawl space under his house to turn on 100 watt bulbs to keep his water pipe from freezing when the temperature falls. Use this outlet to turn on heaters in ponds, bird baths, etc. to keep the water from freezing. Or use to activate heaters for livestock water troughs, etc. If you have a shed with power, plug a light into this unit and know when the temperature in the shed is below 35 degrees F so you know you need to turn on a heater to protect stored items.
