CCI Controls 7752.011 LP Propane Gas Leak Detector 12 Volt RV Gas Alarm with Automatic Shut Off Valve Brown, Horizontal Flush Mount CCI electronic LP gas detector is a full service totally automatic gas shut off valve device. When a gas leak is detected in an RV, trailer or camper, the propane alarm sounds and shuts off the gas supply via a UL listed LP gas valve. The CCi gas detector draws 0.162mA per hour of power, less than an instrument panel lamp. Turn off the gas detector when the coach is not in use. CCI Propane Gas Detector Automatic Gas Valve Operation: Slide gas detector switch to ON position when gas service is required Warm-up and self-check mode: pinging or ticking sounds for 20 to 60 seconds. Green GAS ON indicator flashes: gas valve is open from LP tank to gas appliances. Light all pilot lights. Slide to OFF position: shuts gas valve and turns off gas detector. Detection of a Gas Leak in Your RV or Motorhome: The gas alarm sounds. The gas valve automatically closed, shutting off gas flow. Alarm continues until the detector is shut off. Gas flow is stopped until the detector is reset and gas fumes are no longer present. Actions to take: air out coach and reset gas detector. If gas fumes remain when detector is reset, the alarm again sounds. If this occurs, have a qualified LP Gas Dealer or RV Service Center make the necessary repairs to the source of the gas leak. The detector will detect LP gas and sound an alert at 20% of the LEL (Lower Explosion Level) for LP gas. This device is intended for detection of LP gas only.
