Lumiscope Blood Pressure Monitors

Lumiscope Blood Pressure Monitors are hospital and clinically tested for high blood pressure accuracy. Most popular are battery powered units measuring blood pressure from the arm, wrist or finger. Each digital blood pressure monitor features semi-automatic or automatic inflation. Fuzzy Logic Inflation provides accurate blood pressure and pulse rate readings automatically. Lumiscope's AccuRead system combines this Fuzzy Logic Inflation with Smart Deflation. This regulation of air release (precisely 3mm of mercury per heartbeat) makes AccuRead monitors among the most accurate blood pressure monitors available.

Manual units feature separate stethoscopes or stethoscopes integrated into the cuffs themselves.

Why put your blood pressure monitor away when you can use it as an alarm clock? The 4 set alarm can be used to wake you up, remind you to take your medication, and to take your blood pressure measurements.

Lumiscope Model 1134 uses the oscillometric method to detect your blood pressure. Before the cuff starts inflating, the device will establish a baseline cuff pressure, which is equivalent to the air pressure. The measurement of your blood pressure is based on this baseline pressure. After the cuff inflates to block your blood in the artery, the deflation process starts. During the deflation of the cuff, the monitor is detecting the pressure oscillations generated by the beat-to-beat pusatile.

Any muscle movement during this period of time will cause measurement error. After detecting the amplitude and the slope of the pressure oscillations during the deflation process, your monitor 1134 will determine the systolic and diastolic pressures for you. Your pulse rate is detected at the same time.
