| The Lookout I & Lookout II: Pet Car Seat for up to 18 lbs | |
Patented Pet Car Seat Lookout is a booster car
seat for small pets (up to 18 lbs.) for riding in cars. Pets are safe and comfortable
and driver can concentrate on the road not the whereabouts of the pet.
Dog car seat is formed foam with replaceable, washable cover. Travel dog seat cover
is absorbent, soft lambs wool inside and nylon quilted outside.
To secure dog seat, slide seat belt across slots at rear of pet seat and
fasten. Tighten shoulder harness or belt.
To secure pet in dog booster seat, fasten connection strap around seat belt
that secures dog. Snap strap to pet's harness, NEVER to a dog collar. (Dogs
can HANG and DIE from dog collars.
Pet is now comfortable and safe in its seat, not under foot or in the driver's
lap.
Use in the house as a pet bed. Remember to use a dog harness and safety strap to
reduce risk of injury to pet.
Note: Install Pet Car Seat Lookout on a rear seat. Fits captain's chair seats
or standard bench seats.
Barbara's NOTES: Princess and Ellie May, my Boston Terriers, LOVE their
Regular Look-Outs. Son Jim bought Princess's seat in February 2000. Princess
repeatedly squeezed between the driver's seat and door and into my lap. He
thought this would solve the problem.
The Snoozer was the answer. Princess immediately loved the Snoozer dog seat, riding
quietly for hours.
I added the second dog seat in November 2003 when Ellie joined the family. And I
replaced Princess's seat cover. "Nesting" dogs can wear a hole in the liner.
Measure dog's length when choosing a look-out. My Bostons wear 23 and 19 pounds
and measure 17 and 18 inches from neck to end of rump. Both can sit up or clocURL
up and snooze.
My girls know the routine. The van doors open. Princess leaps into her seat. Ellie
waits to be put in. They sit quietly while harnesses and straps are fastened.
The wool liners keep bottoms warm. Put dog sweaters on when the weather is cold
or cover them with a light throw or down throw if they will be left in the car while
you shop. Watch for a green Windstar van if you are in Coralville. You might see
my sweet Bostons snoozing or quietly looking out the windows.
Regular Lookout:
- Holds pets up to 18 pounds.
- Choices: Standard Look-Out or Look-Out with Drawer for Food or Toys.
- All Nylon Quilt with Lambswool Interior.
- Options: Color of Exterior.
- Exterior Dimensions:
- Front Width is 15 inches
- Top to Bottom of the Back is 17 inches
- Length on the sides is 18 inches
- Bottom to top of the "dip" in the front is 10 3/4 inches

Buy an Oversized Lookout II dog car seat for
dogs weighing 18-25 pounds if the dog is longer & sits up. The Patented Pet Car
Seat Lookout keeps medium sized pets safely secured while allowing them to look
out windows as they ride. Seat belt slot for security. Comfortable foam form with
lambs wool interior and nylon quilt exterior that is secured to foam body with elastic.
A connecting strap is included for the seat belt to join the harness connection.
Use in the house as a bed or in the car as a booster. Use with a harness and strap
for pet security.
The Oversized Look-Out II is 21" wide. That is 6" wider across the front than the
Regular Look-Out. Some dogs, depending on build, may be able to lie down or sit
in the oversized Lookout II.
Note: It is recommended that the Pet Car Seat Lookout be used in the back seat.
