QUESTION AND ANSWER:
Can I use the Pet water fountain for cats and dogs? Yes. Also water ferrets,
pigs and any pet that drinks water regularly.
What size Pet Fountain do I need? Small Pet Water Fountain: pets who weigh
less than 15 lbs. Medium Pet Fountain: pets between 15 lbs. and less than 40 lbs.
Large Pet Fountain: pets weighing greater than 40 lbs.
How much water can I store in the Pet fountain? Large: about 5 gallons. Medium:
about 4 gallons. Small: about 2 gallons in the small model.
What kind of water do I use in the Pet fountain? Regular water from the tap
works best in the pet water fountain.
How long does the water last? The water supply in the automatic pet waterer
lasts at least one to two weeks depending on what your pet drinks. Estimate the
water consumption of your pet or pets and choose a size that will last about 2 weeks.
Is there a filter in the pet fountain? Yes. The water filter in the water
fountain has 8 layers. This filter purifies the water and cleans the water of contamination.
Does the pet fountain have a pump? A low voltage pump inside the pet fountain
runs continuously.
How does the pet fountain work? Water from the bowl is drawn through the
discharge hole in the water bowl. It goes through the body to the pump. The pump
injects air into the water. The water is then pumped to the filter. The filter cleans
the water and removes all odors. The water recirculateds from the filter to the
bowl.
Will the water stay clean? Yes, except remember that pets shed, have saliva,
get dirt on faces, etc. The combination of forced aeration and filtration keeps
the water clean. Pet saliva is processed to keep the bowl from forming algae. This
is unlike any other filter or ion system in the market. The pet fountain filter
includes activated carbon, stone granules and ceramic balls. Water after being filtered
is comparable in quality to fresh tap water. Odors are also removed.
How often must filters be replaced? The maximum replacement time is once
each 10 weeks. Water filter life varies from about three weeks to 10 weeks. Filter
life depends upon several variables. Primarily filter life is dependent on your
pet and how much sediment is naturally in your tap water. Filter life is
lower if your pet is a shedder or a sloppy eater. Also if your water is high in
sediment. As a filter gets dirty, the amount of water flow slowly decreases. An
effective filter cannot last for many months.
What materials are in the Pet Fountain? All water fountain components are
rubber and plastic.
How do I clean the pet fountain? Unplug the pump from the transformer. Remove
the water storage contained. Wash and rinse the bowl and body together in a kitchen
sink. A mild dish washing soap can be used. Rinse well. Soap residue is not healthy
for your pet. Remove filter and clean filter chamber. Clean any sediment in the
tube between the pump and filter by inserting a chenille pipe cleaner or putting
the tube under an aerated faucet and rinsing it on a high water flow. Place the
body/bowl on a level floor. Refill the storage container. Center the storage container
in the middle of the body and place the bottle into the body. As the bottle rests
in place, water will start flowing into the bowl. Plug the pump into the transformer.
Water flow should start. If not, unplug, remove water bottle and plastic hose from
the pump. Put your finger on the plastic hose to let suction build to get water
flowing. Reinstall. Plug in. You are done.
Does the Auto Pet Waterer make any noise? The Auto pet oasis has a semi-submersible
whisper quiet pump. If your unit gets noisy, this means the water bottle needs refilled
or the filter needs changing. Service the unit.
Why does my Auto pet oasis have a water level greater than 3/4 inch in the bowl?
Not enough water in the bottle. The Auto pet oasis is designed to maintain 1/2 to
3/4 inches of water in the bowl. A nearly empty water bottle causes low water pressure
so the check valve won't function. Then the water level rises in the bowl. Refill
the storage container.
What is power of the pump in the AutoPetOasis? The AutoPetOasis has a 2 watt
pump.

Replacement Water Filters for Ergo Automatic Pet Fountain
8-layer Filter:
- Nylon Mesh Filter:
1 mm square mesh to trap solids.
- Small Ceramic Ball Filter Element: Effectively filters out heavy metals from
the water. This primary layer enables water to be more bioactive and precipitate
the dissolved solids while passing through the activated carbon layer. The ceramic

Water Dog: Automatic Pet Fountain No more
