AutoPetFeeders are pet products for all sizes
of pets: dogs, cats, ferrets, pigs, deer, etc. These dog feeders and cat feeders
come in three sizes. Each Ergo automatic pet feeder is controlled by an electronic
built in timer that can be set in seconds or minutes to dispense food. You choose
the times, the length of the feeding and the quantity fed. Set all feedings for
the same amount OR set each feeding for a different amount. Control of pet feed
is better for dog health and cat health.

QUESTION AND ANSWER:
What animals can us these pet feeders? Feed cats, dogs, ferrets, pigs and
any pet that eat dry pellet food (kibble).
Which size do I buy? Choose the size based upon the pet's weight. Small
Pet Feeder: For pets who weigh less than 15 lbs. Medium Pet Feeder: For pets who
weigh 15 pounds up to 40 lbs. Large Pet Feeder: For pets 40 lbs. and over.
How is the kibble capacity of each unit? Large pet feeder: about 20 lbs.
of kibble or pellets. The Medium, 10 lbs. and the Small, 5 lbs.
What kind of pet food can be used? Only dry food. Choose an automatic feeder
that can dispense the typical pellet size of the kibble you purchase. For example,
the largest size pellet the large automatic feeder can dispense is 3/4 inch or 18
mm in dimensions in length, width or height. Most dry pet foods fall within this
range.
How much kibble is dispensed by the Ergo pet feeder? The amount dispensed
varies with each model's progammable capabilities and capacity. Programming
is in one minute increments with up to 8 daily feedings of durations you
choose. Feed rates are: Large: mimimum feed per minute of 1/2 cup; Medium: minimum
feed per minute of 3/8 cup and Small: minimum feed per minute of 3/16 cup.
How complicated is the timer? The Autopetfeeder's digital timer is easily
programmed in a few minutes. A manual overide button allows you to choose to feed
more to your pet.
Use the manual overide button to shut off the timer if you take your pet on vacation
with you. Programs are kept in memory by the battery backup until you activate the
auto mode.
Can food jam in the dog feeder or cat feeder? Yes, a jam can occur. Make
sure you follow the size recommendations for kibble diameter.
How does the feeder work? The feeder has a feed storage container and a feeder
assembly housing. The timer controls the electric motor that releases the food.
You set the amount of feed by setting the number of minutes and seconds plus the
frequency of feedings.
What happens if my pet leaves food in the bowl? Pets don't always eat the
same amount each time. If there is some food left in the bowl after one feed cycle,
your pet will probably eat the leftover food during the next feed cycle. The feeder
always releases a certain amount of food at a certain time of day. Readjust the
time to reduce amount fed if leftovers remain in the bowl and the quantity increases.
Examine your pet for illness. Continue to watch your pet's habits.
Can I leave the pet unattended with the pet feeder for 3 to 4 days? Autopetfeeder
is not recommended for use for long term pet feed for unattended pets. Use an automatic
feeder to feed pets on time for your convenience. Take away the chore of opening
a container and measuring and dispensing food into bowls once or more times per
day.
How do I clean the feeder? Turn off the feeder. Unplug the timer from the
wall socket. Empty the feeder. Using a sponge and water, wipe the plastic container
and the feeder housing. The Motor and Housing are NOT to be cleaned. Do NOT power
up the motor to clean the inside of the feed storage unit. Do NOT immerse the feeder
in water. The feed storage container and the bowl are washable in running
water. ALL PARTS MUST BE DRY BEFORE REFILLING AND USING THE PET FEEDER.
What materials are used in the Autopetfeeder? All components are made of
rubber, plastic and plated steel.
Is there a safety interlock? Yes, all feeders have a safety interlock switch.
The Automatic Pet Feeder is disabled when the bottle/storage container is removed
from the base.
Are these pet products a safety hazard for pets? No. All moving components
and housing are inaccessible to pets. A flexible metal cover on the electrical cord
discourages prevent pets from chewing on the cord.
RACCOONS ARE SMART. These auto petfeeders are not "raccoon proof". For barn
or outside cats, we suggest you enclose the unit, except for the bowl, in an box
or enclosure that is heavily weighted on top or fastened securely to a wall. Otherwise
the lid will be removed or the unit tipped over. Animals can shake the bowl. A small
amount falls out from the next feeding, not an entire feeding.
