Ultrasonic Feature Controls Pest Problems in Living Areas (Rodent Control):
The ultrasonic feature is designed to control household pests within the living
area. It helps repel pests in your home. Inside doors must be left open to have
the ultrasonic sound benefits be effective throughout a home's living area.
Ultrasound does not go through walls and doors. Ultrasound is most effective in
the room where the unit is installed.
Note: Ultrasonic pest control devices take about 2 to 4 weeks to repel most pests.
Like all pest repellers, Pest Contro & Weitech, Black and Decker Pest X Pest
Repellers and Sonic Technology are not effective against 100% of pests: the reduction
is significant.
Rodent pets (mice, gerbils, hamsters, rabbits, ferrets) must be kept in a separate,
closed off area away from the ultrasonic units.
Placement of Unit(s): Plug unit into an unswitched outlet. For best results,
install the unit in the room where the greatest problem exists or in a centrally
located position within the home. When using two units, plug into outlets at opposite
ends of your home or on separate floors.
PestContro Pest Repellers work with extension cords for closets or use unit EX900A
with adapter cords. Electricity usage is only pennies a day. For best results, use
continuously after installation and continue normal pest control efforts for the
first 60 days of usage. Patience is required but the results will be positive.
NOTE: Black and Decker Pest Control (formerly Weitech) and

Black & Decker Electronic Pest Repellant Model EX900A features both the versatility
and portability of battery power and the convenience of AC power. For short-term
use in tents, RV's, and areas without AC power, 9 volt battery operation gives protection
against pests. If power is available, plug into any 110 VAC standard electrical
outlet. The EX900A requires no maintenance or refills.
Repels mice, cockroaches, spiders and other pests. Results are based on independent
laboratory tests.
How It Works: Pests are repelled because they cannot adapt to the constantly
changing array of complex ultrasonic and sonic sounds. The ultrasonic sounds will
not harm humans, dogs, cats birds or fish. But do keep unit away from pet tarantulas,
mice, hamsters, gerbils and rabbits.
About Ultrasound: Ultrasonic waves are nearly silent to humans and most animals.
Most pests hear sounds in the ultrasonic range. Household pests are repelled because
they cannot adapt to the constantly changing array of ultrasonic waves emitted by
the unit. The wave signals disrupt the pests' nervous system, greatly affecting
their feeding and communication habits, thereby forcing them to leave the area.
This unit may be used around humans and non-rodent pets.
- Ultrasound loses its intensity as it travels and is absorbed by soft objects.
- Ultrasound cannot reach nesting and feeding places behind walls, under floors, or
within cracks.

How to Use: Indoor use only. Under optimal conditions, this Electronic Pest
Repeller EP900A covers an extra large size room. Place the unit on a flat surface.
Operate the pest repeller continuously 24 hours a day occasionally moving to a different
location. For best results, place additional units in adjacent rooms on each level
of the dwelling. It may take up to 2 weeks to see results. Continue to use to keep
pests from returning. Certain pests may adjust to ultrasound and return to their
nesting or feeding areas, even in the presence of an ultrasonic product.
